MOUNTAIN HOUSE

Client: Mountain House
My role: Animation | Compositing | Look Development
Since the late 1960s, Mountain House has been making freeze dried meals for campers, backpackers, and outdoor adventurers. Inspired by the 1960s TV show Daniel Boone, we created a retro VHS look with quick cuts and textured visuals that brought the spirit of the era to life while telling the story of Mountain House in the wilderness.
I worked alongside a team of animators to composite the product into each shot and animate the packaging throughout the piece. Since every product shot started as a still image, one of the biggest challenges was making everything feel alive. Careful camera movement, animation, and compositing helped sell the illusion that the products were really sitting in the environment instead of being layered into the shot.
